Just got home. After 21 hours of running around and 6 in the car, my body is starting to seize up and ache. What another fantastic game. Great turnout, and great play on both sides. Cleaning the guns, the gear, then myself, enjoying some bourbon, then sleeping for 2 days straight. More to follow.

Once again, a surreal experience. At times, it was like something out of a movie. A John Travolta movie, or at least an episode of Seinfeld.
May the Force (field) be with you!

Thank you to BRAVO for giving us an excellent fight. We exchanged nothing but pleasentries and handshakes after every firefight, the way it should be.

Again, a special thank you to Crossfire, Major Bucciarelli, Sgt "Coffee Cup" Manson. the US ARMY, the Staff, the OC's, and everyone else who made this event possible. With 7 months left in 2010, I don't this will be topped this year.

My...ass...is...sore. What a freeking amazing weekend. This was my first OPP, and it was definately a keeper. Just rolling with my boys is what makes an awesome weekend, but doing it at an awesome MOUT with 400 other like minded individuals makes it priceless. There was some rampant faggotry this weekend, but for the most part, it was an awesome experience. Thank you so much to the hard working staff, support team etc for a incredible event.

I believe that Hush has hit on a great airsoft call sign for Sgt. Manson - "Coffee Cup". He had a cup in one hand and a mess of marking tape in the other most of the night.

Posting a full AAR later but here were the major problems I saw-

- blind firing
- people respawning in the buildings they were inserted in
- people not calling hits

- On the last frag order. Is there a way to remove the glass somehow so the opposing team in the buildings can be shot. I did not want to shoot the window in fear of damage.
- Off the MOUT site you can go "full auto". Is there a way that the area where you can go "full auto" be marked.
I know its OFF but where is the limit or boundaries.
- Can approved smoke be used inside the building. It wasn't stated in the OP Order.
- Some went full auto in a MOUT building/area.
- The company forums came late.
-On the "Cease Fire" incident. Aren't we all suppose to stop. Also I did not hear game on.

I want to thank the majority of DCU for a well fought honorable game.

GMSOG as OpFor was just plain great. It was fun to face you guys for the frag order.

I'm glad we were able to have the number of our friends from the country to the north as we did. It was great seeing all of you!

Overall the ridiculous level was low. I would be remiss to not point them out however...

I saw an absolutely despicable display of cheating. When you have multiple squads calling out a particular team for not calling hits, there might be something to that. Within 20 minutes of op start, I saw something George Mason Refers to as ridiculous. This team had portable BB repelling force field generators! These particular generators allow them to either simply not call hits, or continue firing after hits have been called. I should have known that when there is a camera following you, you simply will not fail what it is you're trying to do, because that would look pretty silly, and Crom forbid you get exposed as weak. So this particular team decided to throw that whole concept of honor to the wayside and make it simply look really good for the camera. Enjoy the camera time guys. Embrace your dishonor.

All in all it was a great time. It was awesome seeing old friends, making new friends, and of course my brothers from AEGIS.

Best moment of the game was when Doc realized I was Doc from the GMR of old. It's always great to see people from Tolland.

The Captain Vermont Minigun Fund received several donations. Thank you very much for that! All totaled about $80!

A heartfelt thank you for the professionalism I saw in all of the staff serving at OPP... Crossfire, the Major, all the OC's...Jolly...the list goes on and on. It was simply awesome, and definitely appreciated.

Its going to take forever to photoshop all the bb's bouncing off that squad in the video.

Despite that faggotry, the level of shennanigans were remarkably low for a 400 person event. At least from our side, almost every encounter with BRAVO went well, and ended pleasantly. Friendly banter during bleedouts, and grenades returned. People kept to the semi only rule pretty well. Im still mixed about the level of hit calling. Again, unless you watch bb's bounce off an entire squad as they push their dead ahead of them as shields, there are times when you tag a foot through a mousehole and somebody calls hit and sits down. Please, if you're behind cover and get hit, wave a rag or chemlight out the window to let the other side know. I dont think a lot of that was cheating, just miscommunication. Since we don't have blood or paint, we need the visible feedback. All in all, it was pretty smooth for a big event, and I saw great play on both sides. Bravo was excellent!

Oh, and the weather could not have been more perfect. After attending the first OPP, anything other than 30 something degree ice, sleet, rain, and snow, any other weather is preferable. But warm, dry, sunny, and no wind.....fantastic!

I actually wanted to know where these guys bought their tac vests and rigs too Captain. If they have that mystical BB repelling quality you speak of, then sign me up. All kidding aside, it was really the only thing that made this op frustrating. Just about every Alpha squad we talked to had the same stories and they seemed to be relegated to one team/squad.

Hush, we coined a new term for that particular team's tactic for taking a room - "meat shield". Effective? Yes. Honorable? Not in my book. Enough said. Gotta agree though that overall, Bravo was great. Nice win guys.

Now for the good parts - just about everything else! I gotta say it was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time in or out of airsoft. It's taken my and my team's play to a whole new level. The test of my personal endurance taught me something about myself. The way my squad demonstrated an ability to work together in some very chaotic situations was nothing short of magical. The MOUT was great, the venue was fantastic, and the overall organization was top notch. We're already planning on next year's event.

Request: Make the scoring system more transparent. Did I miss this in the OPORD? Were buildings worth the same? Were they valued differently at different times of the day? How much was each FRAGO worth? Even if you don't want to share the scoring mechanisms before hand to minimize the "gaming of the system", then roll it out at the beginning/during the event.

Commanders briefed us on point values for buildings, and all fragos were worth 500 +bonuses for captured items.

B company 1-4 had a blast! Great playing on all sides. We had some hit calling issues with alpha as well, but most of it was probably due to miscomunication as Hush said. Blind firing, whether it was covered or not, it is one of those things in airsoft you just dont do. I had to pull my rag at one point and walk into a room to tell some A company guys not to do it. They apologized saying they didnt know, we took the hit and carried on. High level of sportsmanship all around.

Thanks to all who made this event possible.

Props to my boys on B Company for our win and everyone else who stuck it out to the end!
